Description

The Louis Berger Group has an immediate opening for a GIS Analyst in our Nashville, TN office. Primary responsibilities would include overseeing a small team of GIS professionals on infrastructure development projects.  
Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager of Data Infrastructure, the Geographic Information System (GIS) Coordinator will be responsible for programming and maintaining desktop and mobile software applications for enterprise wide data collection, as well as conducting data conversion, applications, and implementation. Other responsibilities include coordinating GIS activities between different groups and pushing projects through the pipeline. This will include coordination with CADD and BIM.
  • Conducts GIS data conversion, application development, and implementation.
  • Coordinates GIS activities between different groups, departments, and customers.
  • Programs and maintains desktop and mobile software applications for enterprise-wide data collection and use.
  • Coordinates departmental activities to meet project goals and directives.
  • Integrates GIS with other software technologies.
  • Develops and maintains integration of databases between GIS, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and airport enterprise systems.
  • Handles all data sharing, report and map generation, and meeting planning between departments.
  • Develops user requirements, application needs, and database designs.
  • Provides GIS technical guidance and assistance.Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Ensures airport GIS program meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements.
  • Assists with development of GIS software packages, licensing, and extensions.
  • Prepares architectural/engineering drawings for alteration or expansion projects.
  • Potential of developing budgets and project costs.
  • Prepares various written and oral reports and correspondence.
  • Trains staff (as needed).
  • Consults with other departments to identify resources and establish project objectives.
  • Identifies environmental hazards and addresses in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
