POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Assists in the continued development of the Desoto County GIS Department including digitizing, data conversion, database development & management and map production
• Assists with the continued integration of GIS in County Departments (Assessors, EmergencyServices, E-911, Road Department, County Engineer, etc.)
• Develops and expands the mapping capabilities of County Departments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Computer Skills critical
• Proficiency with ESRI software
• Experience with ArcGIS Server
• Remote Sensing, GPS & programming knowledge a plus
• Ability to plan and manage time, materials, and human resources
• Ability to work independently in complex environments
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
